CHILDREN’S BOOK FESTIVAL AT KNOLE

On the 25th to 26th March, the first ever Knole Children’s Book Festival will be taking place. Some of the best loved children’s authors and illustrators will be coming along to host workshops, sign books, and read out their books for all the kids who come along. If your child is aged from 3 to 11, then bring them down to enjoy the fun. Knole’s bookshop will be open all throughout the festival, including a pop-up festival bookshop with books from all the visiting authors to enjoy. Author of the famous “Charlie and Lola” series, Lauren Child, will be showing up to answer questions, along with the author of the popular “How To Train Your Dragon” series, Cressida Cowell.

There’s a whole host of things to do during the two-day long festival. You can experience the Tudor life by dressing up in the Orangery from 12pm – 3pm. You can grab a map and explore the 1000-acre medieval park, or take a guided tour. You can even take part in a geocache trail to hunt down Knole’s secret treasure hidden around the park. You’ll be more than busy during your visit with so much to see and do.

If your kids are looking forward to a day out, but you’re a bit worried about the chance of any nasty rain or cold wind ruining their day, check out Dry Kids! We have a whole range of weatherproof and comfortable kids clothing to protect against the wet and windy. Try the Dry Kids Waterproof Jacket, available in a range of bright colours and sizes, for the best defence against the rain. Add to that the Dry Kids Over Trousers or Dungarees and your children will have nothing to fear should the weather turn sour. They’ll be free to enjoy all the exciting adventures at home and offered at the Knole Children’s Book Festival without worrying about the wind or the wet at all.
